Agility Classes

International Course Work Practise

Start Date:  Thursday March 14 at 7:45pm 
                   Friday March 15 at 11:30am  (students are asked to stay after class to put equipment away) *please note April 12 class will be held                                                                                                   one hour earlier due to the Jessica Patterson workshop that afternoon)*

Cost: $135+tax per dog/working spot for six weeks 

A structured practise for dogs and handlers that are proficient on international skills (backsides, threadles, threadle rears, difficult weave entries) who want to test their skills on challenging courses.  Practises will include international style courses, skill and weave pole challenges.  This is not an instructional class, but a practise.  Handlers and dogs must have a good understanding of these skills to attend.

Space is limited and pre registration is required. Registration is non refundable and non transferable to other sessions.

International Skills Class

Start Date: Thursday March 14 at 6:20pm 
                           (students are asked to come as early as possible to help set up the course.  Set up at 6:00pm)
                  Friday March 15 at 10:00am  *please note the April 12 class will be held one hour earlier due to the Jessica Patterson workshop that                                                                                                    afternoon*

Cost: $200+tax for six weeks

A class for dogs and handlers that have a basic understanding of backsides and threadles, but they are not ready to put it all together in full courses.  This class will work on breaking down the international courses into shorter sequences and focusing on improving the dog's commitment and independence of these advanced handling moves.  Handlers timing, most efficient path, etc will all be discussed. 

Registration is non refundable and non transferable to other sessions.

Directions:

Head south out of Calgary on either Macleod Trail or Deerfoot Trail.  Follow the 2A highway until you see the off ramp heading West into Okotoks. Take the Okotoks exit west (2A) and follow until you see the Big Sky BBQ Pit restaurant on your right (and the feed store on your left). Turn right just before the restaurant onto 306 ave. Follow 306 ave, the first driveway on your right is the facility (you can see it from the road. Large yellow building). Follow the driveway to the right, past the little barn.  You will see the arena on the other side of the barn.
